Amy Smart has been a model, actress as well as a former American. Amy Smart was born and raised in California USA began her modelling in Italy. The first time she acted was in 1996's TV production Her Costly Affair. It took a long time to be a part of Starship Troopers in a smaller role. She struggled with the transition to acting because models were not considered as skilled actors and generally were offered less parts. Amy did her best to get noticed and was eventually offered larger parts beginning at The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. The 2005 romance comedy Just Friends, which also had Ryan Reynolds, saw her take on larger parts. The film was a major film at the box office and Amy was finally able to get the fame she had been striving for for over a decade. Amy went on to star in major movies including the Crank Series alongside Jason Statham, and Shameless.
