Dolly-Parton
Dolly Parton, who was born in Locust Ridge Tenn. on the 19th of January. 19. 1946, into a low-income family, with twelve kids eventually included, discovered early that she could escape the hardships of her life by using a creative mind. Before she could write or read, she composed her own songs. The first time she picked up a guitar was when she was 8 and started singing at the Knoxville Tenn radio station at age 11. The same year, she recorded her debut album on Gold Band Records an independent small label. In high school she established herself in the local community, yet she yearned for a larger stage. The year 1964 was the day after her high school graduation, she relocated to Nashville. Dumb Blonde was her first album to be charted on Monument Records. Around this time, Porter Wagoner was looking for an actress to sing for his syndicated television show. Parton was hired in 1966. She then she joined RCA Records in 1968, and the Grand Ole Opry was founded in 1969. The show was cancelled by Wagoner, however, in 1974 because her solo albums like Joshua Coat Of Many Colors and Jolene exceeded the sales of their joint albums. Parton, after the split of their partnership with Wagoner she wrote the song"I'll Always Be Loved" by You and made it to Number. First time, in 1974.
