In 2017 Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi as well as Daddy Yankee released Despacito and it became the most-streamed song that time, within just 6 months. A few performers of reggaeton lamented the trend towards popular music by 2020. Yet a new group, Rauw alejandro, was seeking to make a change. His style often included elements of electronic dance music as well as other styles.
