She's the daughter of Harvey Welker (a Native American father) and Julie Welker (an African-American mom). Her mother works as an agent while her father is a civil engineer. Walker graduated from Germantown Friends School situated within Philadelphia's Germantown district in the year 1994. She went to Harvard College, where she obtained a Bachelors in Arts degree. Welker is since the age of 20 to John Hughes who is a well known marketing director of Merck Philadelphia. They are parents to two children. They began an relationship in the year 2014.
